• Turning Waste in to Fuel: Oil is a natural by-product that occurs when cooking corn; it can’t be avoided. But instead of simply disposing of it, we turn it into 100% earth-friendly bio-diesel fuel that we use to run our powered cleaning equipment. It is also used by local gardeners to run lawn equipment and by farmers.

• Re-using and Compacting: We package our product for delivery in recyclable, biodegradable boxes. We reward our drivers for taking good care of the boxes and returning them for re-use at the end of the day. Typically, we’re able to use a single box for three deliveries before it is placed in our on-site recycle compactor and sent for re-incarnation into something else useful.

• Waste Water Less Wasteful: Waste water ‘happens’ in a manufacturing facility, but we are doing everything possible to minimize the amount of waste water produced as well as lessen the harmfulness of it. We’ve made many improvements to our equipment and processes and our test results and conservation measurements speak for themselves. Even the City is taking notice. More on this as it develops!

• Separating our Disposable Products: Everything collected at El Lago is separated for re-use or recycling wherever possible—boxes, paper, bags, food scraps, and other materials (the list is growing!).
